Can you supply stationery in a shorter space of time?
What about getting my stationery delivered?
What do I do and when?
It can be a bit confusing knowing when to order your wedding stationery and when to send out your invitations, and although it can vary from wedding to wedding we have given you a guide below to help you.
Save the date cards
Save the date cards are great if you are getting married in a peak time when lots of people are away on holiday, they are usually sent out 9 months – 1 year before the wedding to let guests know the date of your wedding. You will need to order these with Lemon Pie Design at least 2 months before you want to send them out.
Wedding Invitations
You can discuss your invitation design and content with us when we first meet with you to discuss your save the date cards. You can then meet with us again nearer the time to confirm your order. Wedding invitations should be sent out about 3 months before the wedding or about 6 months before to out of town guests. You will need to order these with Lemon Pie Design at least 2 months before you plan on sending them out.
On the day stationery
You can discuss the wedding stationery that you will be using on your wedding day when we meet to discuss your invitations. Once you have guest names and numbers confirmed you can then contact us to order stationery such as place names, favour boxes, table numbers and table plans. These need to be ordered with Lemon Pie Design approximately 4-6 weeks before the wedding or sooner if possible.
Thank you cards
Your thank you cards can also be discussed when we meet to discuss your invitations. We will aim to get these out to you within two weeks of you confirming your order.
Can you supply stationery in a shorter space of time?
We know that some brides and grooms plan their weddings in a shorter space of time than most but this isn’t a problem! We are more than happy to work in a shorter space of time if need be but be sure to book your appointment with us ASAP!
This is just a guide, if you want to contact us sooner please feel free, the more notice we have the better!
We will send you a sample of each item of stationery you order, except favour boxes and table plans. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your samples to arrive, if we are creating a bespoke design for you this can take longer. Your sample is for you to check over and make any amendments before we go to print. If any errors are found after you have confirmed your order and they have gone to print they will be reprinted at cost to you. Your first set of samples are free of charge – a set includes one of each item you are interested in ordering (excluding table plans & favours) – if you require extra samples we will email them to you as PDF files but if you would like them as paper samples you will be charged £3 per item. However once you place your order with us the cost of the extra samples will be deducted from your first invoice.
If you are nearby our office please feel free to contact us to arrange a free consultation where we can fully discuss your requirements. If you do not live locally to our office please use the form on the contact page or email us with your details and the design you would like and we will get back to you asap. We will then send you a sample of each item you require along with a quote.
Once you have received your stationery sample and you are entirely happy with it we will email you an invoice. We require 50% of your total payment up front and the remaining total prior to delivery. Please note you will only receive your stationery once we have received all of your payment.
What about getting my stationery delivered?
If you are local to our office you’re more than welcome to collect your stationery yourself to avoid delivery costs, if not we will send your wedding stationery through a courier firm and delivery costs will be added to your bill accordingly. All stationery will be packaged in rigid mailing boxes as well as being wrapped in tissue paper and protected by bubble wrap to ensure you receive your items in perfect condition.
