Behind the Scenes | Ada, Freya & Renae

Hopefully by now you’ve had a chance to properly check out the new 2015 collection -Simply You. If you’re still unsure which is the one for you I may be able to help by telling you a bit more about them.

This week I’m giving you the goss on Ada, Freya and Renae and then I’ll look at the others next week – so keep your eyes open for that! I’ve included mini inspiration boards for each design too to help complement the styling of your wedding for each design.

Thanks to The Great Gatsby we’re still seeing a 1920s vibe in some weddings but with Ada I didn’t want it to be so specific. I wanted an Art Deco feel without being too obvious. So I kept the lines simple to create a mix between Art Deco and old Hollywood glamour. Think style, glamour and champagne.

Freya was inspired by some recent bespoke designs I have created for clients. These designs were all typography based and kept very simple with the emphasis on the couple‚Äôs names. I wanted elegant, swirling text that brought a bit of drama. Freya is perfect if you have no set ‘theme’ but want a clean, modern look.

Finally Renae was, obviously, inspired by the sea. Being based in Suffolk I’m lucky enough to be within easy reach of some beautiful beaches and find being by the sea very calming and relaxing. So this design was a kind of homage to that as well as the fact that my local couples often choose a beach/sea theme for their stationery. You may also notice Renae is based on a bespoke design I created for Sam and Ashley. I think Renae would also be perfect if you are getting married abroad in some sunny place.

Check back next week for the insider info on Georgia, Elsie and Fleur.

Until next week x
