When I first met up with Sarah and Shaun, Sarah had a very definite idea of how she wanted her invitations to look. She knew she wanted large images of flowers; tulips being her chosen flower on the day; and she wanted to include a sheer cover of some sort with ribbon threading through to hold it all together. We quickly decided that they would need a booklet style invitation as they had a choice of menu for their guests. They also wanted to include directions to their venue, the fabulous All Manor of Events in Henley, as well as their gift list. Their evening invitations could be a lot simpler as they didn’t need to hold as much information so we just included their invitation and gift list. They also wanted the design a lot simpler so we missed out the sheer cover and ribbon on the evening design having a printed gerbera with a large silver diamante in the centre instead. By looking through our existing designs they chose the fonts and embellishments that they liked so we were then able to piece together their two designs and create a stunning set of invitations.
As always we matched up their ‘on the day’ stationery with their invitations so everything matched perfectly and tied together. We created beautiful name tags that included guests menu choices, threaded with a wide aubergine organza ribbon as well as gorgeous oval diamante buckles to match the ones on Sarah’s shoes! We also provided them with table numbers and a medium sized framed table plan. Each card for the tables was layered onto pearlescent aubergine card with organza aubergine bows with diamante buckles in the centre. Simply stunning.
