Marie and Michael
Maire and her mum came to see me at our office and we ended up having a rather long consultation as her mum and my mum (who also works in the office) were old friends and hadn’t seen each other for years so there was lots of catching up going on amongst the wedding talk!
Once we got down to business and had had a chat about the type of wedding Marie and Michael were having (a large one at that!) Marie gave me a small piece of paper with a simple heart design that she had found. She knew that she wanted her design to be very girly and pretty and hearts were definitely the theme. She had chosen a colour palette of fushcia pink and champagne but we agreed a touch of gold would work well within the design as the pink needed a stronger colour to compliment it. She was also happy to leave it with me and let me run with the idea and see what I came up with.
I designed our own heart design taking inspiration from the design she had shown me and created a flowing pattern that ran around their names. I also created a simpler version using our Amber design as the basis and worked some hearts into this as we had discussed a couple of versions of the designs in our consultation. We added hot pink diamantes to make it really stand out and create an impact. Marie ended up loving both the designs I created for her so much she choose them both – one for the day and one for the evening! I also carried the design through to her Order of Service booklets minus the diamantes.
