I love designing and I especially love designing for weddings. I also think great design should be accessible to everyone – whatever your time scale, needs or budget. This is why when I launched my online shop, The Stationery Lounge, I was really keen to include some wedding invitations that are left blank, ready for you to fill in with your details.
I chose 5 of my existing Ready To Order designs and adapted them to suit a variety of weddings by keeping the colours neutral. They are a handy A6 size (so no ‘large letter’ postage costs) and come with white envelopes in packs of 20. They are then packaged beautifully – wrapped up in tissue paper and placed in a rigid ivory box. As these invites are priced at just £21.00 per box (+p&p) they are great if you want unique, modern design but are short on time, only require a small number of invites or simply have a smaller budget for your stationery.
To celebrate the launch of this new range of wedding invitations, and because I love to treat you, I am giving away a COMPLETELY FREE Save the Date printable! Be quick though as they are only available for 3 weeks until 1st December 2013.
The Save the Dates come in the same five designs as the new wedding invitations so you can choose the one to match your wedding invites. Simply click on the image of the design you wish to download and print away!
Handy printing hints and tips
These Save the Date printables are designed to be printed on your home printer. There are four Save the Dates (of the same design) on one sheet of A4. These are slightly smaller than A6 and a border has been left around the edge to account for printers margins etc. All you need to do is buy your chosen paper or card and send the file to print, then fill in with your details. I’ve given you some hints and tips below to achieve optimum printing results.
Tip 1: Check your ink levels – To achieve the best colour and crispness of your print ensure your ink levels aren’t running low, no one wants multi coloured lines running through their Save the Dates do they?
Tip 2: Do a test run – Print off the Save the Date printable on some normal paper just to check that all your printer settings are correct. You want to make sure the size and the colour is right and that you aren’t getting any lines or marks running through the design.
Tip 3: Check your paper – Once you have decided on the type of paper you want make sure that it isn’t too thick to feed through your printer. Most printers will detail the paper thickness they can feed, so check your printer manual.
Tip 4: Don’t forget your envelopes – Finally an obvious one but make sure you buy envelopes the right size – if the envelope says it fits A6 size then you’re good to go!
I hope you love sending these Save the Dates and their matching Wedding Invitations out to your guests, don’t forget you can buy your Wedding Invitations from The Stationery Lounge.
Happy printing! x
