Something A Little Different | Chair Covers

When it comes to choosing how to decorate your venue traditional chair covers may be first to spring into your mind. However I wanted to share with you today my top 10 alternatives to chair covers.

There are so many other unique ways to decorate your chairs for your wedding or event that doesn’t involve covering them entirely or using organza bows. Think about your style and theme overall and what aspects of that you can use when thinking about your chairs. I love all of the ideas below as they are simple, stylish and easy to recreate whilst creating the impact you are after.

You don’t even have to decorate each chair – maybe just every other one. Or if you are decorating chairs for the ceremony how about only decorating the aisle seats?

I know what you’re going to say: “but my venue’s chairs are horrendous, I have to cover them up!” Not necessarily. If the seating cover resembles your nan’s carpet why not collect or hire cushions to use on them; or use voil to drape just over the seats. Alternatively just ask your venue if they have other chair options – you’ll probably be surprised to find some of them do or will be able to recommend a company to hire them from.

I hope this has inspired you to think a little outside the box when it comes to decorating your chairs. Remember: you don’t have to decorate your venue a certain way because it’s the way everyone else does – it’s your day and your style.
